  • Shuili Snake Kiln.Pottery Culture Park
    This kiln, established for eighty year, is renovated and transformed into a educational park by third-generation owner, Lin, Guo-Long. Here you can make or appreciate pottery with professional instructions and interpretation. It is one of the representative kilns in the Nantou county.
    Culture and heritage.A microcosm of Taiwan Ceramics
    There are gallery, museum, 9/21 earthquake memorial hall, presentation hall, cafe, pottery classroom and demonstration area in the park. Here you can experience the development and transformation of Taiwanese culture and pottery.
  • Delicate scenery

    The park is full of nostalgic elements. When you walk in the park, it seems that you are immersed yourself in the old days. You can take time to appreciate every corner here.
  • Snake kiln museum

    Museum displays many old ceramic artifacts and articles of early days in the Suili township, such as soy sauce urn , bombproof cylinder etc., to represent the microcosm of the development of Taiwan.
  • Snake kiln and pottery classroom

    The snake kiln, built along hillside and forty-five degree of slope, has a hole on both sides for throwing in woods in addition to the front hole. A teacher will instruct students to make ceramic products in the pottery classroom.
  • Souvenir

    A variety of ceramic products are for sale, such as cups, teapots, teat tray, vases, ornaments, etc. They have different colors, shapes and texture for option.
  • Gallery

    The gallery showcases many contemporary ceramic works to let visitors can experience the unique features and characteristics of Taiwan’s ceramics culture.
  • Hand building experience

    There are several pottery classrooms, accommodating of over 100 people. Visitors can experience the fun of making pottery with professional instructions in the hand building area.

    【Notice】
    .Tour-guided interpretation is available by appointment in advance. There are several multimedia classrooms,
     three presentation rooms and three pottery classroom- it can accommodate hundreds people.
    .It is open for school or educational institutions to promote pottery and culture. There are also documentary about
      the history and methodology of pottery from time to time.


    【Facilities】
    ‧9/21 earthquake memorial hall:it showcases photos and documents of 9/21 earthquake- the 9/21 monument has
     pre-alarming effect.
    ‧Guinness World Records Museum: it showcases Millennium Dual-Hole Bottle data.
    ‧Demonstration area: it demonstrate show to make large pottery by a master.
    ‧Artist studio: It is a place for contemporary artist to create works as a resident artist.
    ‧Pottery classroom: it provides with professional instructors to instruct how to hand build or make pottery- it’s open from
     8:00am to 17:30 pm and participants need to go to the fist pottery classroom to register.
    ‧Gallery: it periodically showcases the works of pottery artists – it offers a place for collection and exhibition ;
    ‧Café: visitors can take a rest and have a afternoon tea or simple lunch here( vegetarian meal available).
